LinkedIn has released a report revealing what their research has found to be the most in-demand job skills for 2023. With 1.9 jobs open for every unemployed worker in the US job force, there are plenty of opportunities in the current market. We remain in the midst of a global talent shortage at a 16-year high. Seventy-five percent of employers are unable to find the talent they need with the desired blend of technical and soft skills.
At the top of the list is management skills to oversee teams, projects and operations as companies expand. Next on the list is communications. As employees increasingly work from home and teams become more geographically dispersed, effective communication through various channels is a critical skill set. There’s enormous value for both job seekers and those satisfied in their current positions to learn from this research.
